The lotus flower grows with its roots in the mud and the water it grows to the surface of is usually dark and murky. It is able to grow through this dirty environment and blossom into a beautiful flower. This characteristic of the flower is a symbolic representation for perseverance, power, and positivity, characteristics that I believe are essential for the happiness of an individual.  “The Lotus Project”, was inspired by this symbolism and created to promote these ideals as it aims to remind the viewer of the light at the end of the tunnel. I skillfully use an array of brilliant colors and movement to create variations of the beautiful lotus flower to express this joy, energy, and ideas.
